Boulby Dark Matter Collaboration
This is the home page for the dark matter searches in progress at Boulby Mine (Cleveland Potash Ltd, North Yorkshire). Originally a collaboration between CLRC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Imperial College, London,and University of Sheffield, and known as UKDMC, the project has now expanded to include non-UK participation in some experiments and been re-named BDMC (B for Boulby). Birmingham Solar Oscillations Network (BiSON)
BiSON consists of a network of six remote solar observatories monitoring low-degree solar oscillation modes. It is operated by the High Resolution Optical Spectroscopy group of the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Birmingham, UK in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University, UK. We are funded by the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC).

Armagh Observatory
The Armagh Observatory is a modern astronomical research institute with a rich heritage. Founded in 1790 by Archbishop Richard Robinson, the Observatory is one of the UK and Ireland's leading scientific research establishments. Around 25 astronomers are actively studying Stellar Astrophysics, the Sun, Solar System astronomy, and the Earth's climate.
